Hey guys. Wanting your opinion on black lights. What should I be looking for in a good one? Thanks

Being a cheap guy I took the rod holders I had for trolling, cut the tops off flat. Bought 4 of the Bearkley black lights from Wally world for 21 bucks each. fitted them to the tops of the rod holders.( had to make a new notch on the bottom so you could turn the holder sideways) Now the lights are up over the edge of the boat stable and won't fall off. The rod holders are about 15.00 a pair. It's still cheaper than 70 to 100 each for the new led lights.
Moonlite is the way to go. I have 1 on a 19 foot boat and thats all I need. LED lights are def the way to go.

Another vote for the Moonlite. I have the full moon, one light will light up for 2 people fishing.
I use two Moonlight USA half moons on my boat, and love them..great light. Don't take up a lot of room, and are the perfect mix of light. Beats the old bulky Stan Sloan originals all day. U dont want a super super bright light, or of course one that doesnt put out very good light..I had two tracker III's are whatever from bass pro...used em about 3 hours, took em back. couldnt see but about 3 feet in front of you. the LED's are rated for 20,000 plus hours of use..so no need in changing the bulbs!
I like the size of my Nucli-eye Atom, but the way I use it I thought I was cheeting my backseat partner. I got one of those BPS LED blacklights, but have not tried it on the water yet. Has to be better than nothing and since it is rechargeable, it has no cords to fool with.
We have just signed on with Moonlite as a dealer and lloks like they are a quality product.
I have two Moonlites (full moon with green led) and I'm very happy with them as they are AWESOME! I hear the Nucli-eye lights are fantastic and they look like their built pretty tough. I'd like to try one, but the last time I priced them they were much more expensive than the Moonlite.
By the way, here's a money saving tip for those of us who use the "phone jack" plug in lights. I've found that the jacks on my boat get corroded every couple of years and need to be replaced. I used to go to a dealer and pay 20-30 dollars for a new jack. I noticed the female outlet on the boat jack is the same as found on guitars and other music equipment. So a few weeks a go (when an outlet needed to be replaced) I went to a guitar/music shop and paid $10 for a new jack. All I had to do was unscrew the old one from the outlet plate that mounts on the boat, screw the new one in, and solder the two wires on the bottom of the jack and voila!
