Not the person we'd like to see elected, but at this point, the presidency is largely a figurehead, and what's really important is the fact that they actually held free and open elections (although there seem to have been violations by both sides). The military still holds all the power, and has said they won't relinquish any of it until a new parliament is elected. By the time that happens, they could even change presidents again. It's not like he won by a landslide. I don't mean to downplay it too much, but I think your "Hard Lined SHARIA LAW" statement is a little misleading. It's not like his election means we're going to see that implemented overnight; far from it. The Arab Spring is still alive and well in Egypt.
