Usually I target creek smallmouth with a spinning combo, a pack of tubes with some 1/8 oz jigheads stuffed inside them, or a couple different cranks I've found to be very effective. Lately I've shown up to the creek with a new weapon of choice.... the fly rod. It has taken my fishing and "becoming in tune with my enviroment" to a whole new level. Haven't yet landed anything huge on it but I'm still getting the hang of it. Hopefully there will be some bigger fish in my very near future!
