    Looking at a Yatesville trip

Going on fishing trip in late July and wanted to try some new water. Never been to Yatesville but like eastern Ky. and thats about as far east a lake I see. Pretty much like to fish for what's bitin but my preferance would be Bass and Crappie. Can anyone give me any guidance on the fishing an cabin/marina suggestions. Thanks in advance,Tech

I fish Yatesville quite often. Recently I have been fishing the creek channel banks with a wacky rigged senko and a 8 inch plastic worm. Most of the fish i have caught have been around the 15 to 20 foot mark. Fished some at night with a 10 inch plastic worm and a black jitter bug. Got more hits on the jitter bug but could not come up with any keepers. If you put in at greenbrier, be sure to fish the left main channel bank at the mouth of greenbrier

Thanks for the tips and help! From searching the web, there sure doesn't seem to be many cabins in the area and only a couple of hotels. Always like to stay on the water if possible. When I schedule my trip maybe we could meet up or even come aboard and do some fishing. Do you know what the name of the Marina is? I could not find it on the webb. thanks Tech

Its called Yatesville Lake State Park Marina, the phone number is 606-686-2361. Some call it Barkers Marina because it on a creek by the name of Barker's. There is a campground on up the lake but it is usually booked up thru the summer.
