The top elite players would be almost idiots not to go to UK if they want to be a one and done player. I can't really fault Calipari but how do all the one and dones affect the NCAssA graduation rate requirements?

So UK has 6 players picked. Does this give more power to Calipari when he goes on his recruiting speech to these kids, coaches and or parents? I would think yes. His record here and the history of draft pics should make it a slamdunk() to get young studs to come to UK even more than before.

Meyers Leonard drafted 11th is from Robinson Illinois seven miles from my home town. This young man's father was killed when he was six his mother has had problems and the Siler family basically adopted him, he was a good friend of their son growing up and spent a lot of time there eating and sleeping over etc. My nephew married the sister to Brain Siler that raised him. Myers has turned out to be a good kid.
Robinson IL is only 6,800 population and there were draft parties everywhere. I was at a party at the Country Club in the same room as the Siler's except Brain and his two sons were at the draft. It was a very exciting night. Robinson declared Thursday Meyers Leonard day. It is nice to grow up in a small town. I know Meyers is a project but he has the ability to become a top big man. I wish him well.
I remember a few years ago Calipari said that the draft day was "The Greatest Day in UK Basketball History." Is this the new greatest day?In all seriousness though, this years class seemed like a bunch of good kids and it will be fun to see how they do at the next level.

I agree. I want to see these guys play at the next level and especially Davis. I think he has a few years before he is ready for playing against the big body NBA stars but once he bulks up and matures I think he will be another good solid man around the rim...possibly even a legit all star.I remember a few years ago Calipari said that the draft day was "The Greatest Day in UK Basketball History." I don't see the others being super studs like Davis can become. MKG hmmm maybe with the right team but not where he is going. Jones? Nope don't think so. Lamb? Nope don't think so. Miller? Nope don't think so. Teague? Heck no! He should have stayed at UK.
It would be cool to see Miller and Davis on the floor together if that happens. Teague to Chicago is an interesting pic. If he can sit, watch and learn from Rose he will benefit greatly.
Davis is injured now. Calipari hasn't had a key player injured in over 7 years, I think he has a pact with the devil![]()
No doubt!!! Lucky for him it's just a sprained ankle. My first thought was oh crap not a knee injury!! I really want to see him be successful in the NBA. Not another Oden. Of course I think Oden was like 45 when he got out of college.at least he looked like it!
