    recommendations for buying electronics

Getting ready to purchase a new fish finder/electronics for my boat. I wanted to see what you guys here on fishin.com would recommend. With so many options out, im doing my homework for this valuable piece of equipment, also my budget is about $400 and Im puting it on a bass tracker. Thanks

    Fish Finders

From someone who has bought way to many fish finders, get the best you can afford. Save up until you get what you really want. Bass Boat Central has some really good deal's on good equipment.

The site listed below can tell you more then you ever needed to know about fish finders.

Get one that is Color and has GPS and the bigger the Screen the better if you have old eyes like I have. I would get a unit that will allow you to interlink 2 unit's together if the pocket book will let you.

What ever you get, spend as much time as you can learning how to use it. They will tell you a lot more then how deep the water is and the temp of the water.

I now have a HB 898C S/I and it is worth ever dime I had to hide from my wife so I could buy it.

    Hope this helps.

Both guys are right on the money....If you're looking for a used unit BBC is the way to go...There are some good deals to be foudn on there....If you're looking for a new unit, Universal Mania is the way to go..Nobody can touch their prices and their shipping is amazingly fast...I just ordered a 998 and 788 from them a few weeks ago and they were sittin on my doorstep in 2 days...Do lots and lots of research to make sure the unit youre getting provides exactly what you want

Buy the biggest display you can and color is a must. I also suggest GPS.
