Think back to to pre WWII. Hittler spoke with PASSION, and where did he lead the German people! Down with GEO...vote NO!

Let's be fair......Geo posts his opinions and doesn't come out with personal insults like some of you. He will retaliate but that's expected and at times I have seen him take the high road when he could easily have jumped into a pissing contest with some of you. That alone makes me questions who should cool it or disappear. A little history lessom for a few of you......only folks who have stepped over the line and had to be banned(in the last few years) were diehard Liberals who constantly attacked others on here who had different opinions. Wonder why that is??
I have learned from most of you guys on this site especially Geo. Whats wrong with a different opinion than your own?? Noone knows everything and if you think you do your mistaken. So just block his posts if you dont like what he has to say.
I enjoy reading what Geo posts and I enjoy what others have to say....especially when the responses are opinions with opposing views and not attacks.
Also learned to keep my posts on here (with/at other members) at the same tone and with the same respect I would give them in a face to face discussion. If I can't do that I don't post. Errrr I guess that isn't 100% true I can think of a few that have been moderated! Lol but I'm getting better!
    So my vote is Geo!!!!

Great...a rogue community organizer all of a sudden out of the woodworks. lol

Since when was this an island that we could vote people off of? Get real.

I'm not voting in your little cleansing campaign. Good luck with it.

I've got no problem with Geo posting whatever his opinions are. I enjoy reading. Sometimes I agree, sometimes I don't. The world keeps spinning.

The difference is that Geo can post what he thinks, defend why he thinks it, take heat, and generally not get all butt-hurt by those in opposition.

Others result to childish name-calling or classless Hitler parallels to try to solidify their position. Uh, we'll played.

Pretty much sums it up. Also, its Peter's board. No one has been asked to leave without him approving. Nor has a stupid poll been used to remove someone.

Like I said, don't like what Geo posts, don't read it, or just put him on your ignore list.

There in lies the difference. Not what is said, but how. Passion doesn't override the need for civility. Look at it another way, isn't it possible to disagree without being disagreeable?

Civility isn't a sign of weakness, in tense situations it's an example of strength. You know, the old Rudyard Kipling
deal of keeping your head while all around your are losing it.

So I vote "maybe", because we all can learn to be better people, and still share our experience to the benefit of all.

Now excuse me, you all are making my beer get warm.......

I guess you THINK he stole something from your or something.

    Later,

If I were a Duke stockholder, I would be upset because someone DID steal something from me. I honestly don't think we have heard the last of this Bill Johnson fiasco. He only worked a few hours, not even a full day. jmo

Hey, I've moved up in the world........I'm a conservative pinhead idiot........PROUD to be one.

I will continue to be one. At least until things change, and I'm not talking about the "changes" as outlined in the Obamunist Manifesto.

Well Johnson was the CEO for Progress Energy when they merged with Duke Energy. So it wasn't like they just hired him and he hadn't worked at all. He likely was a big part of the negotiations of the two companies merging. He obviously was promised the CEO position of the combined companies and certainly had a golden parachute clause inserted into his contract prior to the merger. For some reason Jim Rogers the chairman and CEO of Duke, and the board of directors then changed that plan and asked him to resign (forced him out). His severance package would have been negotiated prior to the merger, and he has the right to it.

I have no idea who truly is right or wrong in this situation, but at first glance it could seem like Rogers might not have been negotiating in good faith and basically took away Johnson's company from him. That comes with a price.
