You're right, this is a BAD idea. But y'know, statements such as the subject line of this thread are exactly why American society, and in particular American politics, is so polarized today.

Geo, I don't know how to say this in a way that you'll ever understand it, but I'll try one more time. Just because someone's idea of what is best for this country is totally different from yours doesn't mean that they are trying to destroy the country, even if their idea is a stupid one. And when you lash out the way you do, all you do is reinforce those people's attitudes, because I will tell you this: pretty much everybody I know "on the LEFT" has a WHOLE lot more tolerance for people with differing ideas and opinions than you or other right-wingers like you generally have.
