3 day wknd and muddy water

I've got a long weekend and every creek and river around looks like caramel...no smallies for me this weekend!

As much as I hate to do it, guess I'll chase some lesser species. Maybe if I go ultra light and loosen up my drag I can make believe a LMB is giving me a good fight!

I passed Elkhorn at great crossing and at the forks yesterday and it was very fishable. Great Crossing had a bit more water than usual going over the dam but it was not crazy. The forks didn't look like much had changed.

Don't know what time you passed through Forks but toward the end of the day it got very stained and rose quite a bit.

I live in Morehead, we've got some downpours the past few days. Looks like the creek might be wadeable tomorrow though.
