Rough river bass

My brother girlfriend and I fished Friday night from laurel branch to the dam and only had around 10 with the biggest only being about 14 inches. We caught them in less than 10 foot of water, i'm guessing that they were shallow because it was dark. we caught them on 7 inch worms and small jigs. We didn't fish very late because our black light broke. The majority of our fish came out of the idle zone in the state marina.

C'mon now this is terrible. Why is everyone so tight lipped on here now? It's not like I'm asking for a location. I don't know why I even post on here anymore.

Because it has averaged 100 degrees for the last month...and the fish have all been PAR BOILED.

I don't think folks are being tight lipped. I think they are not fishing. Most everyone I know are fishing at night.

I think you had bad timing - please take into account there was a Renegade Tourny on Rough this past weekend and it had over 100 boats fish it. Not too many of those guys are going to give you (or the other tourny guys who viewed your thread over 200 times in seven hours) any info. If you know of a successful tournament angler who shares his/her pattern the week leading up to their tournament, please send me their contact info!! I would be their new best friend!

With all that said, I haven't fished Rough in two years so I couldn't help you out.

Yeah I forgot the fiddlers tourney was Saturday until I got down there. I see why nothing was said now. But that tournament actually was smaller this year. I have a place back in the state marina there (where the tourney is held) and it had a smaller turn out this year. The idle zone was only half full and I was told there were only 59 boats in it this year.
