My wife is close to my age.

My wife and I were born in the same city, with the same zip code, at the SAME hospital.......4 years apart.

Her social starts with 317.......Mine 308.

You'd think we would have the EXACT SAME...........

No, there's no reason why they should have been EXACTLY the same. The whole prefix range 303-317 is assigned to Indiana, and they don't assign them sequentially.

Exactly,and it's not what year you were born,but rather the year you applied for a card.While it is required by law to apply for newborns immediately nowadays,I didn't get a card until I was 13 or 14 years old when I started working part-time in the summer.Mine 401,my wife 402,my son 403.All from Northern Ky.
