And you know, I'll add this...because all of this coverage of the tragedy in Colorado has got me kind of torn up and thinking about things...
The sad fact is that things like mass-shootings, bombings, terrorist activities are sometimes the price we pay for the freedoms we enjoy. We can debate it for hours, but more gun control isn't going to prevent shootings like this. I'll also concede that the real chance of a legally-armed citizen actually stopping a mass-shooting by fighting back is rather low, unless it's someone with good training - Though I still like those odds better than sitting back and doing nothing. Lastly, nobody wants all of our public spaces to be secured like fortresses with metal detectors and surveillance that prevents the freedom to move about as we please. Unfortunately, this means that when someone mentally unstable snaps and wants to kill a bunch of people, they have plenty of opportunities to do it.
I don't know what to say other than that.
God bless all the families affected by what this SOB in Colorado has done.
