I am stuck using only my trolling motor on my bass boat. I have been fishing some smaller lakes and am trying some river locations. I tried fishing the KY river near Camp Nelson but the dam was so far I got worried my batteries would give out and I would be stranded trying to row with one paddle back to the ramp. I have found that on the map one of the closest ramps to the down river side of a dam/old lock is at Fort Boonesborough. I am curious if anyone has fished it before and I would appreciate any tips on what fish I would be looking at catching. I am looking to try and maximize my fish catching time. Am I looking at mostly white or hybrids or are largemouth present? I would appreciate any help.
