I think if you educated yourself on what happened you might form a different opinion. A major outcry from people means this is more than a few bible thumpers(your words) out there. It's a free speech topic and now we have gubment leeches involved. This impacts many people and their way of life and it's just another attack on your rights. What in the world makes the gubment think they can ask what your belief is on gay marriage before they issue you a building permit??? Not sure where "live and let live" was part of the Christian teachings??? I also know that being a Christian doesn't mean you can't have an opinion nor does it dictate where I can buy my food.

I have gay friends so what??? My opinion isn't swayed but who my friends are. I have Liberal friends as well so what?? What's your point? Hey if you choose to think it's no big deal so be it. And thank you, I will enjoy my chicky sammich for years to come because it's the best one out there and will taste even better knowing that a group of thugs tried to stop me from enjoying it.

Haha I sit in my basement on the weekends doing nothing but educating myself...its called working toward a masters degree, and yes I have educated myself on what has happened. The man makes a statement and in this country is free to do so. A gay-lesbian outcry followed soon after which was soon followed by people with different motives. One group felt that the man had a right to free speech and I sit in that group. He has the right to run his business and I have never heard of the Chik turning away gay people. His beliefs are his own and do not have an affect on me nor have they ever interferred with the running of the Chik. The next group were the so called "Christians" who turned this into a same-sex marriage debate and how they supported the Bible and the Chik CEO's stance against same-sex marriage.

These are the people posting on Facebook and writing to newspapers and posting on message boards about homosexuality being an abomination and how they will buy a chicken sandwich today to support the anti-same sex marriage stance. If it was just about free speech I would go buy a sack full of sandwiches, but it has turned into a Bible-belt free for all and has really taken a valid arguement about free speech and turned it into a silly grudge fest for people who believe the Bible is real and that this issue is going against their personal beliefs. If it is about free speech, it affects us all. If it is about same sex marriage, then it matters little to any of us here unless however you may have a more personal relationship to this topic and in that case that is your business and not mine.

So you're saying the bible is a farce,yet you claim to be educating yourself from books that are manmade/written and subject to the same opinions,adjustments,and agendas.
Evidently the Liberals have put out more than their share of college material because looking through my nephews college Government History book there is a definate Liberal Lean to it,blaming Republicans for everything since the Holicaust.Giving the Dems credit for everything,a book should be unbiased and show facts,not persuade kids into sickness.

I agree with GEO on this......that is simply abuse of power, and a violation of the right to free speech. If or when Chk-Fil-A pushes it to court, their will be in my opinion some serious damage settlements paid, and rightfully so.
Govt officials have to play by the rules.

Okay, now think about this. Chik-Fil-A is just preserving their business. If chickens had same sex marriages, wouldn't we be running out of chicken right about now? And think what inbreeding could cause....see attached as an example.

I always gaze in awe at fools who stand in lines for a day to see a flick, 5 days later the theater is empty.If I'm hungry, and see a waiting line at the resturant, I go elsewhere. If I need a moral adjustment, I look for a building with a big cross on it. A question, to those who stood in line or blocked traffic and burned gas, to get in and find they ran out of chicken, do you feel morally strengthned, or hungry and stupid? I think we needed better birth control 40 years ago.

People are free to practice what ever religion they want and talk about it anywhere to anyone they want. I people wanna be Voodoo and tell everyone they are going to perish into a firey hell for no apparent reason they can! Tom Cruize can say that people shorter that 5'1'' are better than tall people because they come from the plant Zorg instead of the planet Bootwaa. ( I don't claim to know anything about Scientology nor do I care) The fact of the matter is people expecially young people just simply care too much what other people are doing. Blame it on Facebook twitter or myspace but I don't get why people give a rats as** what this guy said what his motives were or why anybody is even talking about it! If he had stood up and said I love gay marriage and I think there should be one in every home... Who cares still... HE HAS THAT RIGHT, and it is protected by our most sacred document. He can say whatever the hell he wants and should be condemned for excersizing that right. some people just don't have a life or a job and make a huge deal out off everything!

You know....Ben and Jerry's ice cream supports some things that are polar opposite of what I believe..but they make the freakin BEST ice cream in the universe. Am I going to stop buying it, because I'm apposed to the schweddy balls Ice cream......hell NO.....I just might have to try some.
