One group felt that the man had a right to free speech and I sit in that group. He has the right to run his business and I have never heard of the Chik turning away gay people. His beliefs are his own and do not have an affect on me nor have they ever interferred with the running of the Chik. The next group were the so called "Christians" who turned this into a same-sex marriage debate and how they supported the Bible and the Chik CEO's stance against same-sex marriage.
These are the people posting on Facebook and writing to newspapers and posting on message boards about homosexuality being an abomination and how they will buy a chicken sandwich today to support the anti-same sex marriage stance. If it was just about free speech I would go buy a sack full of sandwiches, but it has turned into a Bible-belt free for all and has really taken a valid arguement about free speech and turned it into a silly grudge fest for people who believe the Bible is real and that this issue is going against their personal beliefs. If it is about free speech, it affects us all. If it is about same sex marriage, then it matters little to any of us here unless however you may have a more personal relationship to this topic and in that case that is your business and not mine.
