Do you really think the Health Insurance companies are going to eat that cost? All of our rates will be increasing to cover these procedures. There is no such thing as a FREE LUNCH or free healthcare.
DUDE.....you really don't get it.
Do you think that freakin test is FREE....hell no.
All this mandate did is drive up premiums for everyone.......THANKS OBAMA.
GAWD.

Took my live in to see a cardio doc wednesday, took her the GP yesterday, hospitalized her yesterdayWhy??? The cardi guy said anemia, wrote a prescription. Feeling even worse. she got in to see her reg doctor, the next day[SURPRISE]. Did a blood test. no anemia??? HUH. Her reg doc called and said to drop in, ran an ekg[why didn't the cardio guy do that]? So now she's in the cardio section of the hospital. whats sad is she was a nurse, but didn't know anything. If we were that dumb, why did we see a heart specialist? I waited almost 3 months to see a dermatoligist, because of unusal spots on my breast, took 3 biopsys to find out "nothing to worry about", why couldn't my regular doc, who sent me to the specialist do that? Its called cover yer ass medicine. And dont give me that frivilous law suit crap, I had two turp procedures in three months because of a hospital screw up. And paid for BOTH of them.
whats sad
There is no denying that the US has the best doctors/surgeons on the planet. But like previously stated a doctor would rather cover is own a** and send the patient away than to take the chance of being wrong. They are terrified of it and I can't blame them... I was a life guard at UK's pool for a year while i was down there for school. We are taught in CPR to never stop unless 1 of 5 things happened. One of them being if a more qualified person shows up to continue CPR. At any given time in that pool there was atleast one medical doctor... more qualified than I to perform CPR, but we were told they WILL NOT TOUCH someone that is unconcous/nonresponsive on the pool deck for any reason... Thier malpractice insurance won't cover them... now there are good samaritan laws to protect people in some instances like this but those only go so far... It's sad that there are so many people that make a living off taking from people who earned thier money.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact that most people who are on goverment aid but are required to pay a certain percentage of the total cost never pay anyway. The doctors have to make their money back somehow if they know they are only going to get paid the percentage from the goverment. Again it's all just sad. But these are the things that need to discussed in the election! Not gay marriage, not Romneys religion, and not Queen Obama's wardrobe.
How naive is it to think that when the government forces private companies to increase their own cost that those companies won't turn around and recoup that cost in higher fees somewhere down the road?
Yep.....When the price of fuel/oil starting impacting our material deliveries and costs of our material from the manufactures we passed the cost to our customers. Copper, cable, conduit, material charges, anything with plastic and of course Insurance is always going up for us. Add to that work had slowed so when you bid a job you had to take it LOW just to get it and low meant you didn'y make much money but you could pay the bills and keep your guys employed.
Our labor rates went up, a trip charge was created on all service calls to help pay for the new cost of doing business. Everything went up! Thats how it works, you cannot raise costs for fuel, material and the cost of doing business without that business raising its cost. Well....I guess you could but you are walking a thin line.
That's exactly why I get so bothered when people feel like they need more gubment involvement in our lives.
Take that new 3.8% investment income tax (Medicare Tax) coming in January. Sure they have formulas showing how "rich" people or new found wealth are being targeted but what happens when that doesn't cut it? My bet is they lower the amount to what they consider "rich".....it's a slippery slope when people and the gubment say Hell Yeah go after those people or that group of people......because one day you might be the target and then will realize you were sleeping with the devil the whole time. The problem is gubment, not folks who have made it to a higher level of income. Stop spending and getting so involved in our lives and we wont need them FIXING so much stuff that they broke!!!

FROM THE LAST PAGE...
"This new tax was never introduced, discussed or reviewed until just hours before the final debate on the
massive health care legislation began. That legislation was enacted on March 23, 2010, more than a year
after the health care debate began. This new tax was put forward after Congress was unable to agree on
changes to current law that were sufficient to pay for the proposed changes to the Medicare program and
increased subsidies to individuals and businesses.
The new tax raises more than $210 billion (over 10 years), representing more than half of the total new
expenditures in the health care reform package. NAR expressed its strongest possible objections, but the
legislation passed on a largely party line vote.
The new tax is sometimes called a “Medicare tax” because the proceeds from it are to be dedicated to the
Medicare Trust Fund. That Fund will run dry in only a few more years, so this tax is a means of extending
its life.
A second new tax, also dedicated to Medicare funding, is imposed on the so-called “earned” income of
higher income individuals. This earned income tax has a much lower rate of 0.9% (0.009). Like the tax
described in this brochure, this additional or alternative tax is based on adjusted gross income thresholds
of $200,000 for an individual and $250,000 on a joint return. Like the 3.8% tax, this 0.9% tax is imposed
only on the excess of earned income above the threshold amounts. An example and some analysis of this
tax is presented in Example 5 of this brochure.
Another way of thinking about these new taxes is to think of the 3.8% tax as being imposed on a portion
of the money that you make on your money — your capital (sometimes referred to as “unearned income”).
Th e 0.9% tax is imposed on a portion of the money you make on your labor — your salary, wages,
commission and similar income related to earning a livelihood."
it's not free Geo, I get that. the Doc gets his or her money, but your health insurance plan that you pay for, pays the doc. for the test, not you. and look at this, 35 Million more people with health insurance = Millions more nursing jobs. but you may not get it,
Like our Democrat Rep from Michigan said, you have to pass BOcare to control the people. I will not vote for a communist. I want the same health plan that our leaders have. No it's not BOcare. I'm for liberty and freedom. I don't see either one in this BOcare. Wait till the IRS gets done with you. I think we need less of those guys not more. I'm for freedom. Letting me keep more of my own money does not hurt the economy. I don't like to hear people say we tried that and it didn't work. It works in my house every time it's tried. Why dont they try doing what our constitution suggests and spend less money instead of asking for more. How many trillions is too many? As far as emergency rooms go, I have a buddy that works there and he refuses to treat people all the time. They are chronic health care abusers and he calls them on it. If the illegalls want to go there to get meds for a cold, maybe they should consider going back to the mother land. Thats right, we can't find them because they live in the shadows. You should have seen the shadows on the guy in front of me in line at Arby's. No speaka the english. No one can find him though. It's the shadows.
Hmm interesting thought... I thought the People were supposed to control the government... I guess I was wrongyou have to pass BOcare to control the people.
I heard today that Papa Johns will be raising the price of their pizzas if the Health Insurance Act isn't repealed.
This is what people who want the government to provide everything just seem incapable of grasping. The government will NEVER truly provide anything that most people aren't going to end up paying for anyway. People seem to think that stuff from the government just magically appears with no cost, but in reality everything that people want provided will be paid for by the people.....and likely at a higher cost than if we just provided it for ourselves.
It's so far past time for the government to scale back, lower taxes, spend less than it takes in and just provide basic infrastructure and security/defense. We can do the rest ourselves.
interesting read on ideas for health insurance for 35 million who need it.http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/0...hate-Obamacare
