There is no denying that the US has the best doctors/surgeons on the planet. But like previously stated a doctor would rather cover is own a** and send the patient away than to take the chance of being wrong. They are terrified of it and I can't blame them... I was a life guard at UK's pool for a year while i was down there for school. We are taught in CPR to never stop unless 1 of 5 things happened. One of them being if a more qualified person shows up to continue CPR. At any given time in that pool there was atleast one medical doctor... more qualified than I to perform CPR, but we were told they WILL NOT TOUCH someone that is unconcous/nonresponsive on the pool deck for any reason... Thier malpractice insurance won't cover them... now there are good samaritan laws to protect people in some instances like this but those only go so far... It's sad that there are so many people that make a living off taking from people who earned thier money.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact that most people who are on goverment aid but are required to pay a certain percentage of the total cost never pay anyway. The doctors have to make their money back somehow if they know they are only going to get paid the percentage from the goverment. Again it's all just sad. But these are the things that need to discussed in the election! Not gay marriage, not Romneys religion, and not Queen Obama's wardrobe.
