Trolling motor issue

I have a 25 volt 75lb thrust trolling motor and I just put two new batteries in it at the beginning of this year and my trolling motor has no power and it is completely dead within 2 hours. I have it wired properly for the 24 volt and I have a onboard charger that I plug in after every use. Any suggestions or ideas I can check into??? Thanks alot

Make sure your connections are clean and secure. Check for bare spots in your wiring. Make sure you don't have a pump or something stuck on. Check your batteries with a hydrometer (just a few bucks at any auto parts store). Check connections at your fuse/circuit breaker. Make sure your charger is set for the type battery you have. If all this checks out, my guess would be that you have a bad battery or charger. I had a battery go bad earlier this year and it was only a few months old.
