Theres a lot of talk about curbing welfare, and therfe is too much of it. The federal gov. will buy 150 million bucks of live stock to insure that the farmers will not go broke because of the drought. Thats NOT welfare. Most of this will go into school lunch programs, and food pantrys. THATS welfare. Georgia is considering a plan to pay farmers NOT to plant crops in drought areas, Georgia also has not raised teachers pay in three years. So who is struggling? Its the old "whose ox is getting gored" at its best.
