I just had to test out a prototype wake bait. I hooked two smallies on my first two casts. The second fish broke me off(good one for a creek). I tied on a new wake bait and proceeded to catch this fish. Man I love fall fishing. The explosions seem bigger.

Yep! The prototype works great. I've caught some nice smallies on it so far. It will be a lite line lure because it just doesn't cast long distances. I would love to try it behind a planer board when the fish are up shallow. It looks just like a shad swimming on the surface. I know it will work great on the stripers on Lake Cumberland when they are busting the surface around the boat. It will be awhile before we get them to the point we can offer them though. I guess I will have to keep testing them out!
