Any reports on cats or anything? Will be hitting the tailwaters before sunrise to try to shoot some carp. And would like to take some catfish also. Bringing frozen shad, nightcrawlers, and some deer liver i think.

Got to tailwaters a little past sunrise. Took my bowfishing rig with me and right off the bat i shot and missed at a drum right up next to bank. Got reset and saw a bighead out towards the middle on the surface, blasted him. Weighed around 10 pounds. Second shot ever with my bowfishing rig and am already hooked. Had i have gotten there a little earlier, i could have filled my cooler on those carp. After that sun was up too high and the fish went down. Buddy brought his boat with him so we went up to the lake and caught 1 small largmouth and 1 bluegill in a cove, then nothing else till we got towards chowning lane ramp. I caught a good size white bass while casting around some shad balls but that was it. Went back to tailwaters at around noon and caught one more white, right in the white water from the discharge. Had a few more bites in there, but nothing else. All in all had a good day, and cant wait to shoot more carp with a bow!!
