    Storms and gas

Isaac lands, gas jumps. Just like the oil companies hoped. So I went to the White House page, and shot an email to Mr Obama to tell him he has no chance of my vote if he doesn't enact emergency price controls to stop the gouging. The economy is tough on all of us and folks in a disaster area don't need more gas costs to add to that problem. And quite frankly I'm tired of being ripped for more money everytime the oil companies can find some form of plausible deniability.

Now, I'm going back to my garage and fit my boat tow truck with solar panels and a table saw motor.

I bet if you look hard enough, you can find an episode of Red Green making that table saw motor work like a charm on a boat. Plus his almight use of Duct tape to secure it to the boat..... Dad and I dvr his shows and laugh our tails off over some of the stuff he comes up with......

Excellent post. I HATE BIG OIL with every small fiber in my body. I HATE them so bad it's not natural or healthy. They are EVIL SCUMBAG THIEVES in every fashion known to mankind. They shut down the rigs and made everybody go home for 40mph winds, The **** storm wasn't even a Hurricane until it hit land. They deal with winds greater than that all the time. The EVIL SCUMBAGS look for every excuse known to man to take advantage of the American people..

    I HATE BIG OIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big oil has fed my family. NOONE talks about the taxes, mandates and heavy handedness of our government which equals higher prices.

    I HATE BIG GOVERNMENT!!!

Makes me wonder how all of the guys at the top of the food chain are connected...is the government bone connected to the oil bone, is the oil bone connected to the weather bone? Are they all in cahoots for the purpose of greed?

Maybe its time to open more oilfields?
    Lay some pipe?
Its ridiculous to say the platforms shouldn't be shutdown! Guess those workers need to risk their lives to save 10¢ a gallon.

The real issue is gas prices before and after the storm. Is big oil responsible for the drought? Will welfare grubbing ethanol farmers get the same treatment next spring?

I said that because the winds were 40mph when they went by and they knew it and cleared them out anyway. They were not going to be in harms way on a flippin dinky do tropical depression, it only became a Hurricane when it made landfall. They have places to get out of the weather on those things you know.

Also I HATE BIG GOVERNMENT TO.
STILL HATE BIG OIL.....Sorry Scott, I like you...

    I also like laying pipe...

Some economist pinhead on CNN was talking about how the oil companies had to raise prices now when they knew disruption in supply was emminent so that they could smother some of the demand.

    Uhhhmmmm, yeah.

I'm sure we all noticed drastically fewer cars on the road here this week, what with all that lowered demand due to the higher gas prices.

Personally, I just saw the same amount of people buying gas and driving...but walking a little funny when they got out of their cars, because of the anal rape the received at the pump.

Oil Companies have got it made. They can do anything they want, whenever they want, and everybody still lines up to buy their crap.

I've been driving sense gas was 19 cents a gallon, and that is a long time memory span. and I don't think Isaac is guilty, for the price hike at the pumps. if I'm not mistaken the guilty one here is Labor Day. yes it's the annual Labor Day week end gas hike.

I think its the presidents and vice presidents fault. The dad-burned George Bush and Chaney. Oil loving scum buckets......

Wait..... they're not in the White House anymore..... Matter of fact, gas was a lot cheaper when they were.. Hmmm......

Hope and change at its best. In a way I hope it stays high until after November, maybe it will open some peoples' eyes.
