I second the vent plugs. They will be little black plastic pieces on your prop maybe the size of a quarter. You can pick up many different sizes from a local boat store for cheap. They come in 4 different sizes, no hole, small hole, med hole, large hole. If your boat is bogging down out of the hole, then you want to go with a larger opening. This takes some experimenting. If you notice the motor rev up too high (blow out) then you opened it up too much, and need to put a smaller opening plug in.. A 225 opti should have no problem turning a 25 pitch tempest. There could be damage to the prop as well, but I'd start with the cheap solution first. If this doesn't help, I would look into shipping the prop of to Mark Croxten, and maybe have him take a look at it. If i were you, I'd also try looking around on the bass boat central forums and see what others with your same setup are running. There are a lot of variables that come into play as well. If you could post back some more info, people will have an easier time trouble shooting. Ideally, WOT rpm, water pressure, time to plane, top end speed, prop to pad measurement, and more in depth description as to what the motor is doing while trying to plane (revs high, bogging, sputtering, etc.).
