Marines at an embassey are a defensive force that can only act upon when attacked. They can not take offensive action against percieved threats as a deployed recon force would. Been there done that and deeply feel the furstration of knowing something is about to happen and knowing their ain't squat ya can do but wait till it does and then fight back. It don't have to be fair to be your duty.

Preemption is prevention, offense is prevention, defense is nothing more then documenting the attack and reacting.
