Do Marines still guard Embassies??

Step back, Marines at an embassy can't guard against some smuck 3 blocks over with an RPG, or a moron in a sedan loaded with C4. Marines at an embassey are a defensive force that can only act upon when attacked. They can not take offensive action against percieved threats as a deployed recon force would. They are there in the event a hostile force begins an attack to defend in place. That's the rules of engagement.

Blame the screwheads that initiated the attack, not the innocents who were playing by the rules.

Been there done that and deeply feel the furstration of knowing something is about to happen and knowing their ain't squat ya can do but wait till it does and then fight back. It don't have to be fair to be your duty.

Preemption is prevention, offense is prevention, defense is nothing more then documenting the attack and reacting.
