I agree, If they don't want us there we should grab out neckties and come home, we certainly don't need to grab our shootin' irons and head that way... We should give up the role as the worlds savior and let them mind their own business, there has been two instances in the last years that required a military response from us, Kuwait in the early ninetys and Afghanistan after 9/11, in the first instance we had the good sense to know when the job was done and come home, we didn't seem to be as wise in the second instance ... Folks in these places have been killing each other since there have been people to kill each other and if we choose to put ourselves in the middle of it sometimes we get dogbit... Sending our young men and women to these places for no useful purpose is just crazy...We have embassy people in lots of places and I'm sure they know the dangers when they go to do those jobs.
Really got mixed thoughts here.
If we back way off and don't keep an eye on them, they have time to plot attacks on our homeland.
If we stay there to preempt their planning, we put folks in harms way.
In either case above, if they exist, they represent a threat. I hate the thought of not looking out for Israel, and leave them go it alone.
Okay MHall, you win.....nuc'em. :-)
Hey, maybe we could say we were trying to widen the Suez Canal and accidentally used the wrong explosive. Good cover story?
But the truth is if we pull out and turn a blind eye to Israel then the problem would probably just dissapear. Anymore its like we are the big brother holding israel back from erasing everyone over there
I will sign up right behind YOU.
