Bug spray!
It should be cooling off right now at night. Noticed temps in the 60s. Once the dew moves in, that should be the end of the bugs. Wasn't thinking of the bugs though. Thanks
This says "stay home, or fish during the day" : http://www.weather.com/outlook/recre...385?dayParam=1
I've always had pretty good luck on a texas rigged 4" plastic craw (w/rattle inserted)... thrown right up on the (dry) bank & eased into the water, specifically on dark banks with standing timber ... but, I usually only Bass fished T-ville at night when there was a full Moon. Seemed as though the fish were nosed right up on the bank, and if your bait hit the water or was more than a foot off the waterline ... you ran them off.
Otherwise, I parallel cranked the marina parking lot bank, between the walkway & launch ramp ... but, that was before the "signs" went up (so you can see how dated MY info is ... LOL !!).
Black lights & fluorescent line !! Always went on Full Moon nights ... because it made navigation down the lake, easier, as well as helped me work my way through the timber. Bugs were never a problem after ~11PM ... even on a hot Summer night. Blacklights & fluorescent line help see the bite ... which was usually NOT felt, but was just the fish swimming down the bank or back towards the boat with the craw. And you can't let them move far with the bait, because they'd head towards the nearest brushpile/rootwad ... and even 17-20lb line wouldn't budge them out of it !! LOL !!
appreciate a report on how you do !!

Thanks for the info crappiepappy. I will be sure to post my findings. Sure miss fishing at night.
I was able convense the little lady that I needed a night out on the lake. Had one of my neighbors join my in the venture. He was a first timer for night fishing. Not sure if he will be joining me again (sight, bugs). Anyway, water temps were anywhere between 73" to 78". Water color looked to murky. Marked shad in two different areas I was in.There was a few clouds in the sky. Did noticed that is had rained a little when we got back to Okalona area. Not much boat pressure at all. Overall it was a very slow night. I was able to crank up a 14" before dark. Wasn't until 11pm or so, that I got on top of one of the lake well known holes that I was able to boat 3 nice 17"ers. Fished the shaky once dark came to play. Would have to say, one of the nices days this lake has ever given me. Not big fan of T-ville. Its close to the house though.
First fish came off of a 300 firetiger on the main lake, last three was a zoom finesse worm in the creek.
Thanks mrwill35
