    Talapia.

What do ya think? Do ya think catfish in the Ohio would eat chunks of cut bait filleted from a Talapia?

If so, would that qualify Krogers, and Walmart as bait shops :-)

Kinda expensive catfish bait, don't ya think ??

I also never understood why people would use shrimp, to catch a catfish ... LOL !!

Beef melt is pretty good catfish bait ... and cheaper than tilapia or shrimp. But, when I target catfish ... I'm more inclined to throw a castnet on some shad .... or catch some sunfish & cut them up. Jus'sayin !!

    ... pappy

ps - considering that Wal-Mart/K-Mart & Krogers/Meijers have "fishing depts" ... they already qualify as "bait shops", even without the tilapia connection. LOL !!

    talapia

Ive been buying the marinated talapia at Sams....love it. Jacked up in protien quick to grill, bake or microwave.

For catfish its hard to beat hamburger and wheaties. Been dumping buckets of shad at the water plant for a couple weeks now that get pulled in to the intake having to dip net them out of the filters. They look and smell like good catfish bait.

Okay, I've had 2 shots of Cuervo, and the thought of trying to keep hamburger and wheaties on a hook has me stumped. Doesn't the Wheaties box float?!?!?!?!?!

Not to mention the bun would get all soggy and fall apart.
