I believe that Romney may just barely be the lesser of evil. Problem is that when you vote for the lesser of evil your still left with evil.

I think back to when Obama was elected. Back then a lot of people blindly supported Obama because the GOP was offering up McCain. Most common folk that only follow politics on the tv thought McCain would just be more of the same old rich white repub with no real general interest in the better good of the common folk. So most of them, without doing any homework first, blindly supported Obama. He was anti-war, christian, lower taxes etc,,,,,

Well that is all in the past but now I see the same thing happening all over again with Romney. Lots of people are blindly supporting Romney because they realize that Obama is a commie, no real interest for the common folk, whatever their reasons.
And there is Romney who has a record of PRO health insurance mandate, PRO abortion and guberment funded abortion, PRO gay marriage, all forced upon the people of Massachusetts.
Ohhh but wait,,he only wanted those things for Massachusetts. And big problem I have is that all these God loving, Jesus worshiping folk,,,are going to buy into the lies of this politician who has a track record that goes against their beliefs.

My vote will be for Virgil Goode if he makes it on my state ballot. If not then Gary Johnson.

All those "pros" for Romney need to be taken with a grain of salt.

He was governor of the most LIBERAL state in the nation. You suppose his hands were tied on some of that stuff. I would never lump Romney into the same category of "moderate" republican as some of you crazy Liberals would think.

I clearly state that I plan on voting for the two most conservative candidates yet you say I'm a liberal.

    I'm a liberal because I don't support Romney?

No, the presidential office is much too important to people like me to be taking chit with a grain of salt. You liberals can have all the salt you want.

OK, the presidential office IS much too important to people like you YET you plan on throwing your vote away of some **** TOOL candidate that has no chance in hell in beating his way out of a paper sack.

Yea, GREAT.......Your vote will go against Romney, and be part of the reason he loses.

Sorry, IDEALISM will not win this election.

And I'm sorry I lumped you into the group of liberals on this board..........but voting for someone who cannot win just because of a "protest" vote is like not voting at all.

I really wish we had a system that would give a 3rd party a chance. Unfortunately, we don't at the time, and I don't think we need to "try" to create one.

I used to think this was a GREAT opportunity for a 3rd party, with the ULTRA conservatives becoming the Tea Party, the bluedogs and moderate republicans becoming the "republicans", and the ULTRA Liberals becoming the new democrats.......I don't think that way any longer because I simply don't think there is enough polarization with people to make them want another part.

In reality the independents, even though they are wishy washy.....they control politics in our country.

    lol Geo your killing me.

Good honest debate here no hard feelings intended.

You got me wrong by thinking I'm voting in form of protest.
See what I'm voting with is my logic, principal, commonsense and heart. If the candidate that I think best represents me has what you say is no chance of winning (beating out of paper sack lol!) then so be it. Not going to change my vote to someone who doesn't best represent me because their is better odds of my vote going toward the winner.

The GOP could have easily won the votes of almost every Independent like myself, and they know this, however they chose to promote Romney as the golden child who will save America. All they had to do was dig up a candidate with a strong pro constitution track record. I won't say they failed at this because don't believe a pro constitution candidate is what the big wigs in the GOP want.
Look the GOP is a sinking ship and that is the truth. Heck it has already sunk.

Speaking of the Tea Party. The GOP had the chance to nominate the father of the Tea Party,,,but they blew that.

I'd love to see a third party, carved right out of the middle, taking the best of both sides. Yes I'm a liberal, but as all have seen I agree with the Repubs some of the time, and there are some I'd vote for if only they'd nominate them. Bobby Jindal first and foremost. Colin Powell, although I think at this point he's pretty much removed himself from consideration. I'm sure there are others out there.

The Father of the Tea Party would have lost by a landslide.
