    Keeping momma happy, so I can fish.

    It's a fact. We as anglers accept it as a requirement for enjoying time on the water.

    "Momma has to be happy, or we can't catch fish"

    Why?

    Ya can't catch fish in your garage, and that's as far as you're going if Momma isn't grinning.

    Momma's feet get cold. Ergo hard top and propane heater in the boat while she's aboard.

    When the fishing day is over and we adjourn to the motel room at Jamestown, Momma wants to relax, but the chilly piggies from the boat linger. How to warm the piggies while in the motel room so Momma is more inclined to hit the dock in the morning? Ingenuity prevails. Here's the formula that works:

    1. Determine Momma's foot size, read the label in her favorite shoes.
    2. But a pair of Isotoner Fleece Booties, those little boots with the rubber soles used as slipper.
    3. Pack them for the trip, do not tell Momma.
    4. Coming off the water to a chilly motel room, tell Momma to sit and relax, fire up the TV.
    5. Grab the booties you packed, and drop them in the microwave for 45 seconds.
    6. Walk over with the warmed booties, remove the socks, and slide the booties on Momma's chilly toes.
    7. After about 15 minutes, remove booties, re-NUC, and re apply.

    Momma = grins.
    0500 wake up time to go fishing is now accepted.
    Fishing at dawn with a smiling Momma is priceless.

    Anglers adapt and overcome, win in all arenas!
