Democrats should be ASHAMED. We should lock these animals in a hole, never to see the light of day.......NEVER.

Obviously I accidentally posted this on the wrong board, and am re posting it here. And I specifically said Democrats because I can only think of a couple republicans who would let them out......So yea DEMOCRATS are to blame.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_o...d_to_terrorism

Your link is not working.
Geo: I read parts of your link and a lot of those were released during the Bush administration.
It just baffles me how we could even consider releasing any of them.
If we did release them here is how I'd do it.
"OK Abdul,we're going to fly you back to the origin of your capture. Here's a backpack full of goodies for your arrival." We then release Abdul from 30,000 feet along with a few 500 lb bombs to soften his landing.
Yes some were definitely released during bush..........MOST after 2006 when Democrats won the house and senate......That is why I said democrats should be embarrassed.Geo: I read parts of your link and a lot of those were released during the Bush administration.

I don't know hardly any republicans who wanted them released.
Bottom line......lock them up FOREVER.

We lock too many people up forever, to the point that our prison system is almost a nightmare.... Executions are way under used... If we have enough evidence to lock up a terrorist then we have enough to finish the job.
In our system it is actually cheaper to lock someone up FOREVER than to execute them.

The numbers are more than likely correct but I'm not sure cost is the primary reason for life in prison over the death penalty... If one of my kids were the victim in a death penalty case, I would have a problem accepting life in prison as justice... We seem to go to extremes treating the criminal element better than they treated us... I actually believe we should have a time limit as to prison sentences, anything over 25 or 30 years, very few folks it would seem to me are any good to themselves or society that spent more time than that in prison... We have a good number of excons returning to the prison system after being released and abusing somebody else.... One thing about the death penalty, that individual doesn't abuse anyone else after it is carried out.

Your own link proves you wrong. Bush was not a dem and plenty of detainees were released prior to 2006 when the republicans held the majority. So obviously there were a number of repubs who had no problems with releasing these people. From 2006-2009 (January), are you suggesting that Bush and co were too weak to stop the releases of these people? Btw, is it actually the president/congress who determines whether these people are released or the military?
As for locking up people forever, if we have solid evidence that they are a threat, then yes, I agree. However, if we do not have solid evidence that someone is a threat, I disagree. That is not what America is about.
