It looked like there was a lot going on in that cluster, it looked like the receiver might have been clearing out, seems like that use to be a fowl but it might depend on whether or not he pushed anybody... As far as who caught the ball, it didn't look like the receiver had a good angle on the ball but it did look maybe like both players had their hands on the ball when they came down... I was surprised they didn't reverse the call on review but it might depend on what the rule actually says... I guess in the next several days we will get it all explained to us... It does seem the entire internet believes it was a blown call.

It was kinda interesting to see how they would blow a call. I know they did the best they could under the circumstances and that allowed the season to start. That call that pushed it over the top was a bad call for sure. Now why did the original NFL guys go on strike?? Oh yeah they pulled the typical union strike thing.

Actually the simultaneous possesion rule says the catch goes to the receiver and that was the ruling on the field....Even after watching the play in slow mo I didn't see anything that showed that both guys didn't have a hold of the ball....Had the ruling on the field been an interception, I think it would have stood as well....Has a lot to do with what the ruling on the field was....As for the offensive pass interference, yeah they missed that one...Glad I didn't have a load bet on the Pack

It's great that the NFL refs are no longer locked out. I just wish the fact that the NHL PLAYERS are still locked out would get even 1/10th as much attention as the refs did. I know Kentucky isn't a hockey state, but it's not being mentioned on the national news, either.

Not what happened at all, it was the NFL owners who locked the refs out. The refs actually agreed to keep working under the expired agreement while negotiations were going on, but the commissioner and his flunkies decided NO.

Yup, pretty much like what's going on in the NHL, except there it's the players. The owners want the players to take a big cut in their share of the revenue, plus place severe restrictions on free agency, and do away with arbitration. The contract expired Sept 15, and the players were willing to keep playing without one while they negotiated, but Gary Bettman and the owners said no and locked them out.
