Geo you think they would have locked up a bunch of white folk in that football stadium? Seriously,,,,now don't get all mad,,,think about it with a open mind.
We could argue about this forever. I don't know if I believe it was racism but if it wasn't it was just plain hatred toward other humans.
Locked in the Super Dome when their is a highway leading out of the city right there. People that wanted to walk out were told they would be shot. Fact look it up. Geo would you have stayed in that stadium or would you have tried to walk to wherever you could get? Meanwhile all hell is breaking out in that stadium. You got common folk mixed with thug/gang folk/ folks that rape. However you see it, must admit the way this was handled left a huge stain on this nation. Wal-Mart tried to send truck loads of free water only to be turned away and not aloud to donate the water.
Marshall Law being declared, all kinds of F'ed up sheet went down. Showed me that those of you that think this is a free nation are living in a fantasy land.

They gave those people 4 to 5 days to get out of harms way Catfish. I could have walked to Arkansas in that amount of time. Stupidity should NEVER br rewarded.

How would they have been rewarding stupidity by not locking the people in the football stadium?
It is supposed to be a free country. If one wants to wait out the storm then that is their free choice which is given to them by God. Not people that judge when they should or shouldn't leave.
I guess its hard for others that don't know what is like to only have so much and what you have spent your entire life working for is on the line. Some people either by braveness or stupidity will never their home no matter how bad things get. Just a fact of life.

WHO created the mess. It was NOT the federal gubment's job to evacuate or plan the evacuation. PLEASE stop with the dis/mis information. Louisiana and New Orleans CREATED the process and plan. It was STATE and LOCAL policy not Federal Policy.

Most of the initial mess was solely created by Blanco and Nagin....PERIOD. They ordered the evacuation to the superdome.
But hey, it was all Bush's fault.
Oh, and had those FREAKING IDIOTS obeyed the governments request to evacuate the would not be DEAD.......so, all in all, the whole freakin mess was created by their own inaction.

I'm with you Mark, I hope I get 2 or 3 day's warning before the big earthquake hit's. I'l walk,crawl, or do whatever it takes to get my family out of harms way....What did they expect being below sea level and a huge huricane heading right for them...I know I think I'll have a beer on Bourbon street and then blame the government when it's all said and done. Pretty sure they have the weather channel down there.
