    Looking for cranking rod ?

I have plenty of good 7 ft. Cranking rods. Would it be worth my efforts and cash to get a couple of 7'6 or bigger rods to crank with? I know they will give me some more distance. But, how much and is it worth it. Seems like once you get over 7 ft the price really goes up on most brands.i am not a big fan of glass. I have used them and they do great while landing a fish, but i dont like the sensitivity you give up. Thanks and good fishing.

I have two 7'-11" cranking rods and several 7 footers. I really like the extra distance the longer rods give me, especially with deep divers. They aren't for everybody though, I bought mine used from a friend who had tried them for just one trip and didn't care for them. I would try to find someone who will let you try theirs and see if you like them before buying.
