Arctic Armor Extreme Weather Floating Suit?

I'm thinking I may do a little more fishing this winter, and last night I bought one of these Arctic Armor suits. they had free shipping and a free pair of waterproof gloves. if you bought both the jacket and bibs. they say the suit only weights 6 pounds. and will keep you warm in sub zero temps, with only a sweat shirt on under it. and if you should fall into the ice cold water, it will keep you afloat. any of you winter fishermen, own one of these suits, and if so what do you think about it. does it do what the article says?http://setthehook.com/icefishing/arcticarmor/

Man, I wish you would have asked folks here first.

The gear is definitely warm, and it definitely floats, but it is NOT WATERPROOF.

I went around and around with them, over that particular claim, almost ended up suing them over the claim.

All in all, it is not worth the hassle. My Artic Armor will be used in extreme cold, but will NEVER be worn in the rain.

The gear we water resistant, but once it gets saturated, and I mean 2 hrs of steady rain, it soaks through and is totally worthless. The owner of the company tried to tell me this was due to "sweat". ******** I say. It is because their product is not very good.

I'm glad I had my BPS Foul weather gear with me, because had I only relied on the CRAPTIC ARMOR, I would have froze to death.

    Later,

thanks for the info, I'll know now to take my rain suit, and not rely on the Armor suit. did you like everything else about it, other than the waterproofing.

Yes....everything else is pretty good.....and I think in spitting rain, and not a downpour, it would be allright.

BUT an all day rain, soaked clean through......
