If you don't mind the travel, Nolin is by far the best white bass lake within a reasonable drive from Lexington. My next choice would be Herrington followed distantly by Taylorsville.

Inspired by the recent Kentucky Afield program, a couple of us are considering chasing some white bass. In the show they were catching pretty regularly (it seemed) on Taylorsville. Does anyone know if that would still be the case and, if not, anywhere else that would be worth a trip? We are in Lexington so nothing too far a distance.
Thanks.

And don't forget about the Ohio river, plenty and I mean plenty of healthy Whitebass in there...
Ha Ha, that son of a gun popped that braid, lol...
He has probly lost that bait by now. Somebody in Western Ky found it. It was Chuck's bait to, Oh man that hurt....![]()
I would try the headwaters of Herrington Lake, in the Dix River. Great fishery for white bass. Ohio River is good too.

Went out to taylorsville after watching the ky afield show and caught about 30 of them whites up by the bridge but i never caught a fish over 6 inches lol. Was i too late or what? Wheres a good place on the ohio to catch some good whites or hybrids? I wouldnt mind giving that a shot sometime
Yeah, he called me the other week balling his eyes out that he lost his wonderbread. Could bearly talk through the tears. He finally calmed down a bit once he remembered it was your plug and not his that he lost. Think he started crying again once I mentioned the $40 replacement cost

LMAO, Poor Chuck, he may never take me again. That day I didn't have my gear with me. Hybrids and Whites started jumping and I immediately snatched his only river magic bait, lol. Then to add insult to injury I let a Hybrid eat it and KEEP It, lol.Yeah, he called me the other week balling his eyes out that he lost his wonderbread. Could bearly talk through the tears.
