Caught a GIANT at Boltz today...

It was slow, only had about a dozen largemouth, but one went 6 lbs - best 5 went about 12 lbs. Just moved here in July and I've been pounding the local waters for 4 months solid trying to figure these scarce NKY bass out...looks like I might be on to something.

Flipping the brush with a 7/16 oz Eaking Jig and throwing a swimbait on the open banks was the ticket today.

Nice one. That would classify as a very nice fish around here. Haha. I almost went to boltz today as well, but never been there before.

Way to go man! I've thrown the kitchen sink at Boltz and have never caught more than 3 or 4. I've just kind of written it off as over fished. May have to get back out there!

I caught a 6.5 lb largemouth a couple of years ago at Boltz. That is my biggest from there. WIth the lack of structure in this lake it is hard to get a good one. I got mine on a 10" Powerworm on a brushpile. Glad to see you got a bign'!
