My tastes are very similar to yours, but some years ago the wife made me go to a modernized version of "The Taming of the Shrew" and it was a lot of fun. Since then we've gone to quite a few, including a couple put on by the local high schoolers. Bowling Green High did a good job with "Fiddler on the Roof", they had kid that did Rev Tevya almost as good as the guy in the musical from the 70's. Still sing "If I were a Rich Man" in the shower every now and then.

Something about a live play that even a poorly educated hick like myself can appreciate. Plus it scores me 'lucky' points with the better half.
Hahaha I year ya man..... My man card was at risk for sure!!! Yep my initial intent was to make sure I scored some points as well. I will be more open minded about going to other plays now. Heck she was just so excited I was out in public without jeans and a tshirt! Taking a shower after work, putting on dockers and tucking in my shirt added some points to my tally as well!!!
