I also vote yes............tastefully done, and pretty cool.
Yes i did reference our FATHER IN HEAVEN while expressing my support for these young men. Bite on that you liberals!!!!!
I didn't like it, and I'm just as red blooded, devoted, and American as you are. I just thought it was over the top pretentious. Looked like a parody of Creed to me. But to each his own, especially when it comes to music. Glad you enjoyed it.
I understand what you say and you are right. My point is this if you dont like young artists who dare to take any stand for the good ol' USofA then somethings wrong. It may not be in your wheelhouse of personal taste but i think from your response we both can agree it is good to see younger generations recognizing the greatness and the loss that it took to make this country great. And if they dont then we my friends are in a sad state. The industry these guys are in doesnt always look favorably on a traditional belief system and even encourages radicalism. As long as what is presented is respectful then I have no problem with it.
With you there. I'd much rather have songs about patriotism than the ones encouraging thug life or denigrating women.
I get that they're doing it in a patriotic spirit, and they're being respectful and all that, but I don't care for it. They've changed the music too much. I don't mind singing it in a rock style, and in fact I really liked it at the start, but when they start adding chords and changing the melody, they lose me. The National Anthem is not a piece of music to be improved upon, at least not to that degree. Unless of course you're Jimi Hendrix![]()
Liked it.
I'm usually kind of a traditionalist when it comes to the Star Spangled Banner....but I actually liked the heck out of that....
