I dont because it will be a weak link between your line and the bait. Its not as important on a lighter bait but when dealing with that kind of pressure they will straighten out. If youre going to, use an extremely heavy duty split ring. I threw it for 5 days straight and never ran into any line twist issues
Thank you. I won't mess with it then. I just didn't want to increase my chances of losing a $30 rig.
If you paid 30 bucks you were TAKEN
I purchased the rigs for 5 and the swimbaits for .40 cents a pack at wallyworld.
Then a pack of 15 snap swivels and 15 split rings for 1.50 each.
I have less than 7 bucks a rig tied up.............and have 5-6 rigs ready to go.

Has anyone been catching anything on them this fall yet besides ky lake? Nolin, rough or barron? I have some A rigs but I never throw them.
I threw one a little in the early summer on Nolin when fish were busting shad on the surface and had some luck with multiple hook ups. Having enough trouble catching them the conventional way right now. LOL
I'll be throwing it the next two weekends at nolin.
