Console, nothing working, no power???

no voltage showing on any of the 4 wires coming in to the master switch.
????

81 16' HydraSport, 81 Merc inline 6 115hp, serial number 5856150

1. Possible bad switch contact in your master switch.
2. Possible bad ground to your master switch.

Does engine start/have juice to tilt trim? If so, I think the Master switch is the problem and I first try to run a jumper ground to it direct from switch to battery to see if that solves it, if not, I'd buy a master switch and swap it out to soo if that works.

Engine starts and runs, my power tilt and trim motor doesnt work and I removed back in the fall last year. The trim motor went bad and yes it had juice running to it. the inside spindle that spins i believe went bad. I put new brushes in it and it didn' help.Looking to buy a new one to replace old worn out motor. I may have to try to run a hot and ground wire from my board or battery with fuses to switch and see what happens.

Try just the ground first, then the hot if the ground didn't fix it. That way you can tell what fixed it, rather than run both and not know.

Fact that the engine starts means that part of the wiring is good. And yes, I understand the engine normal gets its start juice straight from the battery, but the switch still needs a hot and ground to caus the motor to fire.
