Its almost that time of year...

Its almost time for the float and fly again...I think I ask this last year but is it effective on largemouth too? I dont live very close to dale or c-land and was wanting to try it out at cedar.

Thinking the man knows, but might have to bribe him with a Duck Feather Jig for more info. If you never been, got to get yourself down to Dale Hollow, once the weather gets really crappy. FNF best when water temp gets below 50 deg. Don't waste your time on Cumberland, sorry to say I live there, but some poor ***** SM fishing, compared to Dale.

I am no expert but I have caught a few on the fly. Here is my advice and you can take it for what it is worth. Can you catch largemouth, yes but I dont think I would make a trip and target largemouth only. Now that being said I believe there was a largemouth close to 9 pounds caught a few years ago from Dale on the fly. If you want to go try it then please don't let me discourage you from it because it will work.

"expert", you got me confused with somebody else. But I will say if it swims in water that has temps below 60 degrees, eats shad and is looking for an easy meal, then the fly will catch it.
