Totally agree I been saying this for years. Of course some of my thoughts have been....we give money to other countries, illegals and inner city causes but the people who protect our country get shafted. I have worked in some VA hospitals and have seen the old buildings and poor upkeep in a few of them. Hospital closings and red tape can make it tough on retired vets. The way this country works now is that political topics get the attention. If the topic doesn't help a political official it gets pushed to the side so they can toot their own horn on a cause that helps them.
Piss poor leadership by most if not all politicians are ruining this country. Special interest groups with money and clout get their way.
Personally, I honor the retired veterans and respect the folks who served. Without them we would be speaking German.
