This has been discussed on this forum several times and if we did away with the whole welfare system it seems we would save 12% but all the folks who Mr. Splitshot mentioned in his first paragraph would have to be disposed of in some way so we wouldn't have to stumble over them when gong to the grocery store and other places in our daily lives, until somebody comes up with a better idea we seem to be stuck with the one we have now... Does bailing out wall street irritate anybody as much as this type of thing does, probably not because we don't see that but we see these losers everyday.
Bailing out anything bothers me. I'm of the belief that you pay for your crimes, slackness, bad decisions and whatever. As far as folks being disposed of I think the way to teaching someone the value of a solar is make them work!!! Buildings need repair, streets need swept, trash on highways and waterways need to be cleaned and on and on. Anyway your idea of what else can we do since there is no plan in place for these people is why I HATE HATE HATE more gubment intervention on any level. Once a group starts sukking on the gubment teat it never leaves. Before you know it the program becomes so entrenched in our system that its next to impossible to get rid of.
