Watching the last few games, Nerlens is coming on quick and putting up really respectable numbers....He was shellschocked against Duke, playing in Brooklyns new arena in front of that many fans, and he's still supposed to be a senior in high school, most of us would have been a little intimdated
Archie is a much better player than Harrow, no doubt, but he's a 2 guard....His skillset doesn't fit well at the point, he's too out of control and a little too, impatient, and a little selfish to play the point...I'm not saying Harrow would have made a difference in the Duke game because I don't think he would have.....The main reason I say cards by double digits is because of their depth....Their second 5 could start for a lot of schools
I just noticed I typed Archie Griffin, LOLCan't blame this injury on him as it happened in a game. I myself didn't mention it on here but did take note that Harrow was out during the Duke game. My buddies and I talked about that in some length. No way Noel is as good as a healthy Dieng, no way. He's bigtime overrated. I think Cauley Stein is better than he is now and will get better as the year progresses. I also think that Polytheus...''spelling'' is better than Nerlins. The guy just hasn't impressed me at all to this point.
UK plays out of their skull against the Cards always has, while UofL seems to sputter. Being in the Yum helps especially against freshmen who are playing like it at times. I say Cards by 4 in a See Saw battle.
Word on the street is Harrow can't stand being screamed at and had his bottom lip pushed out for awile, just rumor mill stuff. I think Archie Griffin is better than he is and will steal his job anyway as the starter.
Meant Goodwin, sorry...
It would be interesting to see what a healthy full deck of Cards for the yr would produce. More than likely a hung banner in the YUM
Look at the past 5 yrs of injuries. Don't know of any other program that has endured as much as the Cards.
