Quick answer.....BPS Crankin Stick. Cheap and gets the job done just fine. You don't need high dollar rod for crankin. Spend that extra money on good line and a good reel. 6'6'' - 7' med action for shallow to medium diving plugs and 7' - 7'10" med. heavy for deep divers. Depends on what length you're comfortable with.

I totally agree, the 6'6" - 7' medium action Crankin Stik will work just fine for you 90% of the time.
