You need to check out the H20 rods at academy sports.com. They are really nice for the money and there are a lot of reviews about them. I also like the skeet reese cranking rod I have. I like the H20 rods just as well as my st croix mojo rods and they are half the price. The H20 reels are awesome also and the customer service is great. I accidentally lost a face plate on my reel and called to order a part and they sent me the plate for free with no questions asked.
We carry them at $79.99 and agree they are nice rods for the money
Shimano, Just for the Warranty. Over the counter at Bass Pro.
Only if you have a receipt......they recently changed that and it *****..........I have 8 cumara rods, and purchased 2 of them from BPS......I broke one, and could not find a receipt. Luckily, they could look it up.
So, without a receipt, you are out of luck.

Just got a St. Croix bass mojo ---- I was only able to try it out at a farm pond for a few minutes. It really seems to be a nice rod for $100, however I own both the veritas and the bass mojo and I don't know if I could easily pick between the two of them. ---- now if you will excuse me, I have to get this rod back in the cardboard tube and fix the wrapping paper before my wife and kids wake up......
bass, striper/hybrids = BPS Bionic (normally $80, when on sale $60)
catfish = Ugly Stik or Tangling With Catfish ( $35-$80)
panfish = Fenwick Eagle GT ($50)
Bass Pro Extremes are on sale for $69.99; regular 99.99.
I just bought a 7 foot 6 ugly stick casting rod. It is split grip med-heavy and fifty bucks. It is an awesome rod. The tip is light enough i could crappie fish with it but the backbone is strong enough i landed two muskies this last sunday. Awesome casting rod and the one i have is compatible with openface reels.
I like the XPS Extreme Rods for spinnerbaits/crankbaits/topwater and the Abu Garcia Veritas rods for pitching and flipping. I have one all star rod that I use for carolina rig but it feels as heavy as a rock compared to the veritas...might sell that one and pick up a 7'3" veritas medium heavy.
What did you decide.
My club. Central Kentucky Bassmasters have a deal with Dobyns Rods. If you are a member of the club ( We are accepting new members for next year) I can get you a certificate for 40% off. You will not find a better rod for around 80 bucks.
