Falls of the Ohio museum at the fossil beds at the lower spill wayWhat museum are you referring too? Is this at the GRC state park? Where is the lower spill way and the bear traps? Do you recomment the stairscase and the bank or launch a boat and do some jigging near the bear traps?
Are the bear traps near McAlpine discharge area?
Sorry for all the questions, but thanks so much for the great info.
Rob
I am typically a striper guy on cumberland, but am pretty poor at that as well.
The museum is at the upper dam. The lower dam is across from the boat ramp in Clarksville at the George Rogers Clark cabin.
The "bear claws" are the discharge area on the lower dam.

My PC crashed a while back so I had to once again download Google Earth to get a photo of the lower dam area.
That being said, Google Earth is pretty cool. It's a free download. Once you have it downloaded and running, just type in McAlpine Dam and you're there. You can then zoom in or out and travel up or down the river.
Sorry about my squiggly arrows pointing to the places I wanted to inform you about.
