I listened to TONS of ul fans bashing petrino when there was talk surrounding him coming to uk. Wonder how their tune will change if he becomes your head coach

These are the same ul fans that were putting strong up high on a pedestal. You see the reaction he gets now that hes gone. Face it, ul is a stepping stone job just like uk would be if they got a coach capable of turning their program around. Petrino is probably a better x's and o's guy than charlie and will probably take ul to the next level. Look at the bright side, with his track record, the top tier schools might not be willing to give him a look and he might stick around for more than a couple years

I thought UK was crazy not to hire him. He is a proven winner. Lets not talk about ethics but wins. I liked Strong till his press debacle yesterday.

lol, ok, 60 to 70 points is a bit much but I say this because the guys on the UF team are not just playing to win a Sugar Bowl. For a lot of them it is going to be their final audition for the NFL draft. My guess is that they will run up the score and get as many stats as possible for their guys.

I wish the best of luck to UofL and am so happy that for the first time in years we are going to see how they match up against an above par team.

I have been a big Charlie Strong guy and to a degree I still am. I do not like the way he's handling this and comparing our fan base to UK's was a cheap shot by him. Yes UK travels well and takes over as he puts it....''In basketball'', football....Not so much. Not really a comparible or fair statement in my opinion by him.

I hate Petrino, to me if his mouth is moving he's lieing his ass off. I think they should hire me I'm tired of what I'm doing and I bet I can win and I won't go anywhere my wife won't let me. I will be happy with anything over 150 grand a year. If I don't win in the first year and go to a bowl, fire me. I will stay here for life and will recruit well under the winning platform. I will do my best to leave the cheerleaders alone but those that know me know no man is an Island...

I think Strong is gone also and he's doing this right at the time of Louisville's biggest bowl game ever. It's cheap, trashy, classless ans shows he's just another ***** coach after fame and money, I honestly thought he was different. I guess I'm nieve but I'm learning most coaches in todays society are pieces of chit, not all but most. Its all about them and their legacy, kinda like Barack Obama. Ego's are alive and well......

    GO CARDS, we'll be fine!

If strong leaves I can see many reasons why made that decision. I think it's understood the SEC is the best conference in college ball. People don't like to say that but I think it's true. I can see where he would want to get back there and actually be a head coach in the premier conference and maybe bring a program like Tenn back to contention. UL is on top right now so is Strongs stock. If he stays and has some mediocre seasons at UL his stock falls. If he is going to leave he needs to do it now.
I would love to see him coaching in the SEC!
