Ohio River is on the way up

just got back from Fl. so I missed it. went by there today man you are right the water is really moving. I would say it will be at least to Xmas week or after until it gets good again if we have no more rain

Nice report and timely. I'm afraid some new members to fishin.com will get hurt on the river. The newer members hear all about the sauger and are raring to hit the river with little understanding of current and flow. The river can be a very dangerous place and right now is no time for a newbie to test his skills on this treacherous water.

Yeah dont even attempt it , however when it hits 24 (probably already has) fish the back eddie on the big rocks , way down from the center ....bring waders....and minnows...the color is muddy

14 Dec by 7am, looks like it starts to fall according to the lower and upper, and is down about 2 feet by 15

Boys evidently this is going to be another very wet winter. We just had a months worth of rain in four days last week and now they are calling for more. I hate Kentucky weather with a passion, it's different than it use to be in my opinion. My wife won't move, if she would I would be in Arizona by this time next week.
