Need a rod that will handle deep divers

I AM LOOKING FOR A ROD THAT CAN HANDLE A DD22 TYPE BAIT. I KNOW I WANT A 7'6 POLE FOR SURE. IVE READ ALOT ABOUT THE DOBYNS, BUT THEY ARE JUST TO HIGH FOR ME TO TRY. I CURRENTLY USE 7FT FALCON ORIGINALS IN THE MEDIUM ACTION. I LOVE THESE POLES, THEY HAVE THE PERFECT ACTION FOR ANY THING FROM A JERKBAIT UP TO MOST DEEP DIVERS. BUT, A DD22 IS JUST ALITTLE TO MUCH. THE BEST PART IS THE PRICE. I HAVE USED THEM FOR ABOUT 15 YEARS AND FOR THE PRICE THEY ARE AN AWESOME ROD WITH MULTIPLE USES. ALTHOUGH THE PRICE HAS WENT UP( AS HAS EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD BUT WAGES) THEY ARE STILL UNDER 100 BUCKS. IF THEY MADE A 7'6 ORIGINAL FALCON I WOULD NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT WHAT I NEEDED. BUT, THEY DONT SO HERE I AM ASKING FOR OPINIONS. I CUT MY TEETH THROWING GRAPITE RODS FOR CRANKS, SO THE COMPOSITES FEEL LIKE AN UGLY STICK TO ME, BUT I DONT WANT A BROOM STICK EITHER. JUST LOOKING FOR A GRAPITE ROD IN THE 7'6 RANGE THAT WILL HANDLE DD22s AND SUCH.THANKS FOR ANY HELP GUYS.

I have 4 Abu Garcia Veritas rods. You can pick them up about anywhere, but I buy them from Dunhams in NKY. They have them for $89, and if you are in their rewards program, they email you with coupons for 20% off all the time. For $71, that's a smokin deal. They make a 7'6" MH. Good luck!

If you want something that will last over time and is gonna handle all day deep plugging go check out RPM custom rods and RPM X-Rods made in the USA and are the strongest most sensitive on the market They have several Cranking models to choose from.

What about the Falcon BuCoo Gulf Cranker. I use the Cara Reaction Composite Cranker II for all my deep divers. The Cara is a lot more, but worth the investment.

    Good Luck!

Check out Denali Rods at www.denalirods.com they have some nice rods. They have a 7' 6" Jadewood cranking rod around $120 and 7' 11" Rosewood cranking rod around $230, it all on what you want to spend, both are quailty rods.
